About Our Projects
The Workforce Planning and Development Board gathers intelligence about the supply of labour and the demand side of the local labour market by working with employers to identify and meet their current and emerging skills needs.
The primary role the Board is to help improve understanding of and coordinate community responses to, labour market issues and needs. The Board works with community partners to create projects which address the needs identified within the community responses. These partnerships help job seekers to understand the opportunities and skills required in the labour market today and tomorrow. Partnerships range from local research to hands-on activities designed to allow participants to test their skills.
